The warmest months are December through to March.
Autumn generally has clear sunny days and winter can be cool depending on the region.
However, Tasmania is in the southern ocean and have a maritime climate, temperatures can vary greatly on any given day.

Climate

 

Autumn: (March - May) 9-10
The best time to sample some of Tasmanias renowned fresh produce at events like the taste of Huon or Agfest
Winter: (June - August) 5-13Cosy up inside or indulge at the chocolate Winterfest in Latrobe. Winter is a cheaper time to travel and the crowds are smaller.
Spring: (September - November) 8-18See the lush green countryside and heritage gardens on bloomSummer: (December - February) 12-24
Festival time, which means it can be very busy with crowds but there is always plenty to do.

The North

  • Launceston - Tasmania's second major city and a vibrant hub for food and wine, culture and nature

  • Bridport - A popular beachside holiday destination, famous for its beaches, coastal parks and Barnbougle Dunes – one of the world's best public golf courses
