  • I’ve spent a lifetime exploring the world.

    My travel story began in 1969. At 23 years old, I left my birthplace of Perth with a mate, a Volkswagen Kombi van, and absolutely no blueprint for the future—just a passion for playing hockey and a desire to see what was out there. We drove across the unsealed, rugged Nullarbor Plains, navigating too many wild adventures to mention, before eventually landing on the northwest coast of Tasmania.

    That road trip sparked a lifelong obsession with discovery. Shortly after, I landed a role with the Tasmanian Tourist Bureau in Hobart, later transferring to Sydney. Desperate to master the skies the way I had the roads, I completed my IATA qualification and joined East-West Airlines in Tamworth, eventually managing their branch in Maroochydore.

    In 1987, I took the ultimate leap and opened my own agency, Jet Set Travel Tamworth, which I later rebranded to Travel Diversity—a name that truly reflects my approach to the world.

    Today, I have spent over 50 years in the travel industry. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore countless countries across 6 of the 7 continents (with only Antarctica left on my bucket list!)

  • I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all travel because I don't live that way myself. Depending on the day, I can be a sunrise-to-sunset explorer chasing every view, or a relaxed café-sitter soaking up the local atmosphere. I bring that exact flexibility to my clients.

When a long-term client unfortunately couldn't go on their non-refundable luxury Ponant Cruise in Japan, I stepped in, managed the name-change to save their investment, and ended up taking the trip with my wife, pairing it with a First Class Gold Rail tour. That's the level of creative problem-solving and dedication I bring to the table.
