Climate and when to travel:
The top end has two distinct seasons, the green season which is November through to April and the dry season, May through to October.
The dry season has dry sunny days with cooler nights while the green season has high humidity, monsoonal rains and storms, and is the best time to see waterfalls.
The climate in The Red Centre, home to Uluru and Alice Springs, is one of extremes. With hot summers, cold winters and very little rain.
