The Ocean Endevour. One ship. So many possibilities

According to, a desert is a landscape that receives little precipitation (think rain, snow, drizzle, hail, or anything similar) so seeing as it doesn’t rain or snow in Antarctica, this makes it the world’s most interesting desert! And that’s before you factor in that it has an active volcano, sits under (on average) a mile of ice, and is only really accessible by ship.

That makes getting there, and seeing just how fragile the balance is, all the more important; it really does inspire travellers to come back with a renewed momentum to protect the planet. This is why we were excited to hear about the newly refurbished and eco-friendly Ocean Endeavour returning to the region in October 2020.

With room for only 199 travellers Ocean Endeavour boasts a range of cabin options (with options for singles and triples), as well as a health and wellness centre on board with saunas, a well-equipped gym, yoga classes, and a salt water pool. With an industry-leading ratio of one expedition leader to eight guests, a superb range of on- and off-board activities, and rigorous sustainability standards,  travellers can feel assured the most important details are taken care of whilst they explore the White Continent on a range of optional activities with specialised guides  – take a closer look at those by clicking below.
